You're so freaked out you start kicking and kicking as hard as you can to get whatever the hell it is off of you!

Your heel connects immediately with something thick and heavy. You hear a loud thud. Your second foot connects with something less substantial. Something kind of rubbery or sinewy. You hear a pop and gasp. Then a loud thud.

Then silence.

No.

You can hear breathing. Gasping.

You realize you haven't opened your eyes yet.

The room is dark. The raspy breathing is still there at the foot of the bed.

• look to see what it is
• call out for help before the raspy breather gets you
• Go back to sleep in your bed
