Right on cue, the church door swings open. James is standing there, breathing hard. So masculine.
”MARRY ME,” he roars. ”PLEASE!”
The minister, a short, middle-aged woman of the Presbyterian faith, starts to protest: A new wedding certificate would have to be created, and she would insist on counseling you first. Not to mention that she can't just perform weddings all day.
However, you are very persuasive, and the wedding starts over with a new groom while Jack leaves in a state of despair.
”I then pronounce you husband and wife.”
You and James kiss passionately and walk arm in arm to the waiting car.
Despite nearly half of the guests walking out, the reception still turns out to be a great party. Your neighbor and maid of honor, Candy Morgan is an old friend of Jack's, but has still decided to stay. She slowly comes around to accepting James as your husband, and even shares a dance with him.
Toasts are held, speeches are given, and you and James dance the best a nerd and a wild man can. But finally it is time to retreat for the night.
