Quite a Sophisticated Robot

You examine the wreckage of your robot friend and what you find surprises you. The plasma core in it's chest seems new and extremely efficient. It's design is unlike anything you've ever seen. Unfortunately this science stuff is not your area of expertise.
As the rest of your squad examines Mr. Bob, Gednorrion approaches. "I HAVE SCOUTED THE PERIMETER AND DISCOVERED A SHIP. WE MUST REPORT TO THE CAP'N. WHAT IS THIS BROKEN AUTOMATON?" Jed was often curt with his words. So cool.
"I'm not sure sir." You reply. "It approached me during the patrol and seemed malicious so I shot it." This sounded much more reasonable in your head. "There's something odd about it's power source sir. It looks way more advanced than the rest of the junk in this place. I think there's something bigger than abandoned Grav-Rock going on here."
Some of your squad members laugh at this, but Jed silences them with a stare. Seriously, so cool. He walks over to you, placing an enormous bear claw on shoulder. In an uncharacteristically conversational tone he says "Your instincts may be correct young one. Brace yourself for battle. I fear death is on the horizon for many of us."
Once again, you struggle to think of something sufficiently awesome to say. "Well. Let's not die." you say, all grizzled and aloof. SO nailed it. Jed nods to you and turns to address the other soldiers. "YOU MEN WITH ME. WE ARE GOING TO FIND THE OWNERS OF THIS OTHER SHIP. THE REST OF YOU BRING THIS POWER CORE TO COMMANDER MALCOLM." He nods to you. "YOU'RE IN CHARGE OF THAT." Without another word, he leads his men off, leaving you with two crewman, Johnson -a demolitions specialist- and Thompson -a sniper-. They're good fighters, the three of you joined The Raven around the same time and usually work well together.
"According to my HUD, Commander Malcolm went into the city's subway system." Thompson reports.
"Good work." you reply, pulling out your communicator. You loving calling people over the radio because then you get to use your awesome call sign. "Master Danger calling Zone. Are you there Zone? Over." Johnson and Thompson roll their eyes. There is only static. "Repeat, this is Master Danger calling Zone Raven. Do you copy Zone Raven? Over." You also really like saying 'over.'
There is once again no response.
"I think I can get us to the entry point he used-" Johnson reports, using his PAD, "-but I think there may be another entrance closer to us."
