Offer to tutor him(IE/WF)

"Well if you need extra tutoring I am a qualified math tutor maybe I could help you." You suggest to him.
"No thanks lady, my momma can't afford no math tutor for me or she would have done so already." He replies.
"If money is a problem then there's plenty of yard work and little jobs I need doing around the house, that I don't know where to start with it all, we could trade one hour of work for one hour of tutoring."
"I'm not sure lady, I'll have to ask my mom first."
"Okay that's not a problem if you have a pen and some paper I'll give you my name and number and you can get her to call me, but if you don't set off to school now you'll be late and in trouble at school and at home."
He rummages through his school bag and hands you some paper and a pencil, which you take off of him and after jotting down your name, address and number, he shoots off to school.
Your act of kindness as buoyed you up for the day and you head home feeling better.
