He stares you down, visibly shaking. "You're a murderer! You just killed her!"

"That's the name of the game," the words spill out of you, full of resentment, "I don't like it any more than you. I even threw away my gun. I hate guns, my parents were killed by one. And I didn't mean to kill her, just knock her out. It was an accident that she fell on the knife..."

You notice that the guy is crying. He blubbers, "I can't kill someone. Not even to save my own life. Maybe I could kill you in revenge, if you had just killed someone else, but it was an accident..." His hands suddenly steady, as if he made a decision. He drops the gun. "Go on," he says, "Kill me." You should Try to talk him out of it, but if that fails you could either kill him or spare him.
