Make the first move, and introduce yourself to Tolkus

You figure Tolkus is waiting on you, and as bravely as you can, walk up to him. His eyes never leave you, watching your every step with the utmost concentration.
You stop just a few feet from him, and say, "H-hello, Tolkus. Um, I'm here as your new caretaker."
Tolkus huffs, and moves his head close to you, just ever so slightly coming into light. It's then you realize that Tolkus is a behemoth. You've never seen one before, as they mostly live in the mountains far to the north. Preferring cold, icy climates, it's odd seeing one so comfortable here. He has the face of a lion, and muscles so large they could crush steel just by flexing. His thin layer of fur has a purple tint to it, and his mane is as black as night.
As you stand there, unsure of what to do next, Tolkus sniffs you head to toe, occasionally nudging you with his nose. He then comes face to face with you, and opens his mouth, his foul breath washing over you. His breath is so bad, you have to suppress a gag, and hope you don't vomit. With his mouth open, you hear several splashes of thick saliva land on the floor, as he sticks out his massive black tongue and licks your face.
Within seconds you are covered in his gooey saliva, and you groan in disgust. As he retracts his tongue, you hear a deep rumble coming from him, sounding almost like a laugh. But you can't dwell on it for long, as he moves his massive paw around you and pulls you close to him. You land near his chest, and he rubs his cheek on you, forcing you tightly against him. Much to your disapproval, he licks you repeatedly, before he rolls over.
He clearly wants you to do something. But what?
