At this rate, you could spend all day speaking to your mother. It'd be nice... but you should really get going. You make a smooth transition by asking her what her plans for the day are and she tells you; she's going shopping and then watching her favorite TV shows later in the evening.
“I might join you.” You nod.
“Really? You like Cozy too?” Your mom's eyes light up and she leans in closer. She must be referring to her TV show.
“I meant the store...” You reply.
“Oh.” She withdraws. “Sorry... it's just such a great show and I have no one to watch it with.”
“I might join you for that too.” You chime.
“I'd like that...” Your mother says softly before sighing. “Well, I guess I should get ready.”
She stands up and exits the room. You glance at the kitchen timer and see that you've been speaking to her for a while...
