You don't want to trap yourself in an ancient Inca tomb. You decide to just keep on going.
You hurry rapidly through the passage as it twists and turns ever deeper underneath the Andes Mountains. The sound of the skeleton army marching behind you gradually grows fainter. You hope that you can find some way to lose them completely when you eventually have to stop and rest.
As you go deeper into the tomb, carvings begin appearing on the walls. Most of the drawings are of great battles, with large armies hacking at each other in hand-to-hand combat. You stare at the figures with fascination as you walk by. This is the kind of adventure you could never have on a guided tour.
After several hundred more yards of hiking, you come to a fork in the path. The left fork travels upward at a steep angle. Maybe it leads to a way out. The right path slopes downward.
You tilt your head, your long black hair flowing to one side, and listen carefully. The sound of the skeletons marching has faded completely...for now. You look at the two passages again. You don't want to wait too long before making a decision.
