The San Fernando Valley it is.

You head along the channel until you reach the outskirts of Canoga Park. You kill a deer and eat the brain, then wash up and let your clothes dry. You now look presentable.

You head for the main recreational area in the city, Orcutt Park. It's a pleasant day, so many of the facilities are being used. You stand around and watch as kids and young adults play basketball, baseball and tennis. Hanging out here is fun.

A stray basketball bounces over towards you. You scoop it up and shoot it towards the nearest basket, which is maybe 20 feet away. Swish.

"Nice!" says a tall, dark-skinned youngster who you judge to be maybe 20. "We're just getting up a game. Want to play?"

You gesture to him and indicate that you heard him, but can't speak.

"So you're not deaf, but you are mute?"

You nod vigorously.

"Okay, Mute. You can let your shooting speak for you. You in?"

Nod enthusiastically and jog onto the court

Shake your head and indicate you just want to keep watching
