You wake up the next morning to find Jessica is still missing. You and the other girls immediately come to the conclusion she tried to escape.
During lessons, you overhear that one of the keys to the gates is missing. As Jessica still hasn't been found, its obvious she used the key to escape and has probably succeeded. Christina warns that when an escape attempt happens, the girl gets flogged as punishment. Since this is the first time a girl has successfully escaped, she doesn't know what Headmistress Ward will do. During assembly, Ward calls everyone to the courtyard.
You wonder if Jessica have been caught and taken back to the school and she's about to be flogged. Foolishly girl, she was only going to be caned before, now she gets an even worse punishment.
You all wait in the courtyard. A girl stands next to the whipping post, holding a vicious bullwhip to punish Jessica with. But its not Jessica that is led in. Its Sandra Ackerman. She is completely naked. Ward and the rest of Sandra's posse follow behind her.
"As you are aware, Jessica Martin is the first of you girls to escape the school grounds and I assure you she will be the last. This happened because Sandra Ackerman failed to keep account of the keys to the gate. As such, she will be flogged fifty lashes"
Both Christina and Ashley are taking great pleasure in what Sandra is about to suffer, a sentiment you share with them.
Sandra is tied to the whipping post and the girl with the whip steps behind her. She swings the whip back and strikes it across Sandra's back. Sandra doesn't scream. The girl whips her again. Still Sandra makes no loud. The third stroke hits her back and this Sandra cries out. The girl whips her again and again. Sandra is in tears at this point. The whip continues to tear its way into her back. After fifty lashes, Sandra passes out.
Ward decides to have Sandra left on the whipping post for 24 hours. You, Christina, Mattie, Michelle and Ashley go for lunch. You see a boy, Jamie Ward, 19.
"Who's that guy? I thought this was a girl's school" you ask.
"That is Jamie Ward" Christina tells you, "he's the headmistress' son. He works here, I'm not sure what he does"
