GnG1.5/The Common Room
From Create Your Own Story
You enter the common room. It’s not as big as your living room at home, but it is still comfortable enough to fit all your hall mates in there. There’s a giant flat-screen TV on the farthest wall of the room, and a couch placed conveniently right by it for comfortable viewing.
You go closer to the sofa and out pop two heads you weren’t aware of until now. Sitting on the couch are two girls: a pale-skinned brunette with neon highlights wearing gothic-style clothing and a tanned blonde with wavy hair wearing tight clothes reminiscent of your high school days. The brunette looks like she’s busy reading something while the other seems to be enjoying a good conversation through her texting.
“Hi,” you say to them, hoping for a reply.
No answer.
“Don’t mind them,” says another girl. You look down on the floor to see a smiling Asian girl with headphones on. “I’m Nanako,” she introduces herself. “Those two are Kyra and Christina. Kyra’s the one with the book (she’s nice, but she’s shy) and Christina is the one on her phone (she’s not nice and she’s bitchy).”
“No, I’m not!” the blonde finally speaks. “People are just jealous because I’m hot.”
Kyra remains silent, reading her book.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you all,” you say. “Is this everyone in the dorm?”
“Nah,” Nanako shakes her head. “Assuming you met your roommate already, you have five more people to meet.”
“Oh, I see,” you say. “Where are they?”
“Well, the three amigas are out at some party, and Alice is at the kitchen baking something. I advise you not to bother her, though. She likes to be focused at all times.” Nanako scrolls through her music selection. “Have you met Abby yet?”
“Abby?” you ask. “Who’s that?”
“The RA, silly!” Nanako laughs, but stops when she realizes that you have no idea what she’s talking about. “Our Residential Advisor. RA.”
“Ohh,” you say. “No.”
“Then let’s go meet her!” Nanako announces, pulling herself up and grabbing your hand.
