You pull a pair of Cokes out of the fridge and hand one to Lin. “This feels great,” Lin says as she takes a sip. “It’s really hot out there.”
As you chit-chat about things, Lin holds the can up to her forehead to help cool off and the can slips from her grip. You watch helplessly as the contents of the sticky soda spills down onto her, staining and soaking her shirt.
“Eeek!” you hear her shriek at the sudden mess created. She looks abashed at the mess she’s made all over the floor, more worried about that than the mess on her shirt.
“Don’t worry about it,” you quickly say as you towel up the spilled drink.
