Worried that Claire has a good hand, you decide to toss the pair and try for a larger hand. “Two for me as well,” you tell her.
You deal out the new cards to Claire and she looks disappointed for a moment. But then her smirk returns as she lays down her hand. “I’ve got three eights!”
You look at your new cards and see nothing that helps you. You did draw a pair, but that can’t stand up to Claire’s hand. “It looks like you win,” you tell Claire.
“Hurray!” Lin shouts, seeing Claire’s victory.
“It’s finally time for you to lose your shirt,” Claire states.
“I guess I’ll have to join in the fun.” You pull your shirt up over your head and toss it on the floor beside you. “Was it worth the wait?” Claire makes like she’s studying you closely, looking over your chest. “Yep, I think so.”
“Good. You’ll have to wait longer to see more.”
