The sun started setting in the horizon, turning the sky into a vivid mix of orange and purple colors. With a belly full of food, things felt a little bit better. The fact that you were able to catch it on your own even made you a bit optimistic. Maybe you weren't doomed to die just yet?
Your family was gone, and that still hurt within you. Of course you were going to have to grieve their loss at some point, but not now. Catching your own food proved that there's a chance of survival, and you had to focus as much as possible on it. Maybe a ship would sail by one day? Or an airplane? If you managed to stay alive until then, you'd be able to return home and start anew.
The evening air suddenly got colder, and the tiny fire you built suddenly wasn't enough to keep you warm. You needed to get some shelter before nightfall, or you could freeze to death (or at the very least catch a serious cold).
