You can hear your parents talking rather loudly in between laughter, in one of the other room, which causes you to be curious about what they are doing, since it sounds like they are having a lot of fun. You leave your room and follow the noise to their bedroom and find the door open. Usually, when they are in their bedroom they lock the door. You know they are having sex when they are in there, but not this time. You have never walked in on your parents, and never want to. However, there are times you want to see someone having sex just to see how it is done, but not your parents.
You can tell they have been drinking, but not much. As you look through the open door, you see your parents sitting on the bed with large smiles on their faces. You think about leaving, but instead knock on the open door.
Your dad says, "Hey, kido. Were we making too much noise?"
You shake your head and say, "No. It just sounded like you were having fun."
You mom says, "We are. We were just remembering a game we used to play called the dare game."
You see your dad wink at your mom, then say with a smile, "That's right. It was a fun game that we haven't played in years and were just talking about playing it tonight."
You have a confused look on your face. You have never heard of the dare game, so you ask, "I've never played it. How does it work?"
Your mom says, "It is similar to truth and dare, but with only the dare part. Do you understand?"
You nod and say, "Yes. That makes sense, but why not the truth part?"
Your dad says, "Well, kido, not everyone tells the truth, even when they are supposed to, right?"
You nod in agreement.
Then your mom says, "You may not know when someone is telling the truth, but you always know when someone doesn't do the dare."
You nod your head in agreement. It sounds like fun, but you know they would never let you play with them, but it doesn't hurt to ask. "Can I play?"
Your dad says, "I don't know. There are different rules that you might not like."
You look at your parents and say, "Please let me play."
Your mom says, "Alright, but you have to follow the rules. Do you understand."
You nod in agreement.
Your dad says, "The first rule is your cannot tell anyone about anything that happens. When you play the dare game, no one else can know. After all, you wouldn't want anyone to find out you were dared to do something embarrassing, would you?"
You shake your head and say, "No. Of course not."
Your mom says, "The 2nd rule is you can dare 2 people to do something, but then they get to dare you back jointly."
Your father says, "The last rule is, you cannot back out of a dare. Do you understand?"
You say, "Yes. The 1st rule is to keep everything secret, the 2nd rule is you can dare 2 people to do something, then they both get to dare you back. The last rule is you cannot back out of a dare."
Your mom says, "Good. I think you can play the dare game with us."
You ask, "Who goes first?"
