Come in from recess later

The kids come in from recess after a while. By that time, you've finished cleaning up all their mess and have left the stinky room already.
However, you get a call from your boss, the Principal of the school.
"Hello?"
"You're fired."
"I'm sorry?"
"You have been slacking off. I went to the first classroom that was assigned for cleaning. Really messy, and the stench is unforgivable. I'm sorry, but I have to replace you with a better employee."
The kids must have turned the place around again, you assumed. You probably should have waited until after hours to clean the classroom! But it doesn't matter now. The Principal won't listen to excuses. You have been dismissed.
