Annabelle laughs. "I'll tell you what that was. THAT was a test. And you failed it."

"What the..."

"I was testing you on how you'd respond to a comment like that. I want a man who can stand up for himself without calling people names. You failed." You groan and hold your head in your hands.

"This was a fail, but not quite an epic fail," she says. "I can't let you keep working here, but I'll offer you the option to resign instead of firing you."

You sign the resignation papers, gather your stuff, and walk outside sadly, unemployed and without a date.
