You sit strait up towards the painting throwing your dress down and ripping the brush away from your legs. You are very conscious of your flushed face and the glistening wetness on the brush.
“Oh hi, Hailey, what are you up to?" Mr. Carder lets the door close behind him and starts walking towards your easel.
You are breathing pretty heavily so you try to talk as even as you can “I’m just working on my project, I finally figured out what I am going to draw, but I’m not doing so hot."
“Well maybe I can help, here let me see.”
“No, that’s not necessary, I’ll be fine,” You just want him to get out so you can be alone again.
“I insist, as your teacher I must be a part of your work.” You think he may have noticed your flushed face and rapid breathing but you're not sure. “Oh so you are painting a woman?” he glances at your easel and the papers on the floor.
“Well yes, but it’s harder than I thought!”
“It looks okay so far, but what are you basing it off of, do you have a photo?
