After being left alone by your mother, you were taken in by hospitable folk who had lived nearby. They decided to bring you to their town up North, Bridgehaven. Where you would begin to grow up and learn. As for the attack? Answers will come soon, if you choose the right path.
Bridgehaven, Altaria: Augura/August 5th, 1145
For several years, you were trained to become a well-experienced fighter. You began training with wooden swords, then with stone swords. By age 10, you were fighting with steel swords taller than yourself. Overtime, your new parents came to name you "Hero". You also made friends with a few people.
Ralphon is a very old man. He seems to know a lot about the history of Altaria and of it's people. He is mostly known as a man with a long gray beard and dark purple robes that cover his body. He enjoys to play with the children of Bridgehaven, but seems to keep many secrets. Plus, he works as the town's only teacher of magical arts, which most people of Bridgehaven don't want to learn. To top it all of, he seems to try to keep his distance from you as much as possible, for reasons you can't figure out.
Kiara is a sweet, gentle girl who seems to really like you. She always turns a deep red when you say something complimenting about her, and she seems to always hang out with you whenever possible. She has light blond hair that she usually keeps wrapped in a bow, but on hot days ,like most days in Bridgehaven, she lets it hang down. She's about 5 months younger than you, but looks slightly younger. She normally wears something cheerful and brightly-colored to match her personality.
Dorac and Melfi are the couple that brought you into their home and have taken care of you for so long. Even though you have no idea how your parents would have acted, these two seem to be the best at keeping you happy. Dorac, the husband and man of the house, mostly helps with your physical training. Meanwhile, Melfi does the cleaning and cooking. She always reads you bedtime stories of their family's ancestors.
Other than them, the others in town don't speak to you much. Currently, you, at age 10, are heading off to your first day of Magical Arts training with Ralphon. You are excited because today you are going to learn a brand new spell! Hopefully, it's not as destructive as the last one. There are 5 other people in your small class because not many people get into Ralphon's class. Well, school isn't a necessity. Besides, Ralphon usually says that your class is learning a new spell the following class just to make sure you come. So why not skip?
