.:INTRODUCTION:.

BauBaus! is a second-person adventure story simulation of online RPGS that explore monster collecting and training as its main theme (reminiscent of Pokémon and Digimon, with an air of Harvest Moon subsiding it). You are a farmer's son/daughter and a beginner in collecting and training critters affectionately called BauBaus. Here, there are a million possibilities that you may encounter a BauBau everywhere you go, and therefore it is your choice which BauBau will best suit your party.

But what is a BauBau?

BauBaus are round, stout creatures that dwell in a fictional world divided into four regions: Western, Eastern, Southern and Northern. (Here, we start with the Western region, at your hometown, and advance to the other regions with raised difficulty along the way.) At first, they come in forms of tablets, objects similar to fossils. Rubbing it will bring a BauBau to life, but adding an item, especially a pebble, will modify what type of Baubau it will be when it is unleashed. Tamed BauBaus raise their levels by fighting with other BauBaus, but retreat to their tablet state when they lose HP. If this happens, rubbing it will not do. In that case, decide attacks with your BauBau at your own risk.

However, unlike most existing online RPGs, BauBaus! will still stay true to its substance as a second-person narrative, and so your adventure shall take you to either the accomplishment of your mission, your failure, or your probable demise. Choose your path wisely.
