Approach Madame du Barry

You saunter towards the older woman. Madame du Barry eyes you warily. Protocol forbids her to speak unless you speak first. You both know it, and she resents it.
“Madame du Barry,” you say, inkling your head to her.
“You deign to speak to me?” du Barry says, clearly shocked. “What miracle is this?”
“No miracle, Madame,” you say. “You are of low birth and come from an unspeakable profession, but… You are a woman of experience. I feel that it could be beneficial to me if you would be willing to share some of that experience.”
Du Barry’s eyes momentarily flick to where your husband is standing, then return to looking at you. The Madame smiles wickedly.
“You want my advice on how to please a man,” she says.
You reply:
- ”Oui, I wish for your advice on how to please a man.”
- ”Non, I wish for your advice on how to please a woman.”
