An Animal You charge towards the closest marking and hide behind it. You turn towards the path and stifle your breath. You can barely contain your excitement…. and your fear. You reek of it and it seems like the thing in the shadows can smell it. Wants it. It lopes toward you at an easy pace, like a hunter finishing off the easy kill. You can see the shape begin to materialize, and decide that it is animalistic rather than human. You relax, thinking that it’s just a wolf or a bobcat that wandered through a gap in the fence. It snarls at you and bares its sharp, long, white teeth prepared to attack. How do you respond?
