It's finally here. The day you have been waiting for. The day your curse will finally take effect upon the denizens of Tabba Valley. It has been a long time in coming, but today you are finally going to see the chance to see the death of the last of your descendants, effectively releasing the power of the curse upon the world.
You have been watching and waiting for a long time to get this started. It was a necessity before you died to use your own family, the fruits of your loins resulting from your multiple sexual encounters during your life, the focus for the curse. You were tied to a stake and had no ability to prepare any circles of power or other relics to act as conduits, but your power had already rested within the children. Some of the older ones had even had the engravings of your rituals carved upon them at the time. They would likely have been put to death as well after you if you hadn't made them the focus of the curse. At the time, it had been to protect them and keep your craft going. How strange that over the years your benevolent act to assure the lives of your children had turned into a prison.
Despite your efforts, the lineage of your craft had been destroyed anyway. Your children were taken in as wards of the church. Unlike other members of the church though, they were actually given the “holy mission” to bear more children into the world. You had held out your hope for your children for a while, that is until the last of them died without passing on their craft leaving your grand children as chattel of the church. It was then you decided they would be better off dead. You could not carry out these mercy kills immediately, you had expended all of your bruja powers in order to cast this curse and were unable to carry on any of them into your after life. You had to then practice affecting the world around you with your powers as a spirit. A spirit's powers grow with age, but a spirit's power is also tied to a specific location as well. Those who only haunt one building can often gain the power to affect the physical world within 5 years, but your domain was the entirety of Tabba valley. Fortunately for you though, you had a great deal of spiritual power in life to give you a good head start. Even so, it wasn't until 7 whole decades later that you had managed to start in on your crusade of mercy kills of your descendants long devoid and diluted of the heritage of the craft of generations past. You would visit them each night, wrapping your icy hand of death around each of their throats until you choked the life out of them.
It wasn't long at all until the church caught on to what you were doing as one mysterious body turned up after another, all among the descendants of your line. That was when they enacted a powerful holy spell upon you. They were unable to exercise you completely, the very nature of the curse bound you to this world. However, they were able to cast a compulsion upon you that prevented you from coming into contact with or approaching any virgin female. This was a rather annoying gease they had placed upon you. Christian magic was especially strong when it came to things having to do with virgin women, but that was not the major thing about it. It also had a rather annoying effect in keeping you from taking any action to stop someone from ending the curse.
