Over the course of searching for roommates, shelters, cheap housing, and anything else that could help you off the street, you did happen to find a few strange listings. Cults, they seemed like, offering food and shelter in exchange for membership and participation.
They were perhaps deliberately vague about what membership and participation would entail, so you had left them as last resorts. Well, it's last resort time. You're planning on committing false suicide anyway, giving up on life but not actually dying, so whatever happens happens, right?
