AWGP Global Championship

The Australian Wrestling Grand Prix Global Championship is the top title in Queensland underground wrestling. The Global Championship is a continuation of the nWd NewWorld Heavyweight Championship which has lineage back to 2007 as the AWL Championship. If you hold the International Championship you are considered the leader of the AWGP Lockeroom and the top performer in the federation making it the most sort after championship in the federation.

The Global Championship Lineage can be traced to the original Australian Wrestling League Backyard Championship and has slowly grown over its history. It went semi-pro in 2009 however reverted to an underground title in 2010. The Global Championship is AWGP's top Championship.

Unified with the GBYWN Title to form the GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP. As a result this title has become GBYWN's recognised title in Australia
