Shadows briefly worked in January 2008 under the name 'Jobber Jacobson' as a jobber in BAW.
Shadows joined the BAW promotion in April 2008, shortly after celebrating his birthday. Shadows worked under his 'Extreme Joker' gimmick, where he would wear a hat and cane and had to characteristics of a psychopath. He racked up 7 championship reigns while in BAW, considered to be on the top in-ring workers. Shadows' gimmick was well met with fans and soon led Shadows on to being one of the pioneers in BAW.
HomeGrown Elite Wrestling
Shadows debuted for HGEW as 'Ryan Shadows' in mid-2009 as a completely new character. He went on to compete in several matches with the likes of Alex Page and JKH. Shadows competed the HGEW's Trepidation event, losing to Killah Craig in a fatal 4 way. Shadows was left on the backburner for the majority of 2010 and eventually left before HGEW's demise.

Ryan Shadows has been announced as one of the names for TBW's debut show in 2011.
