- Bumping Down Eureka seveN this week: Why, oh why Adult Swim? I wouldn't mind if you were bumping down FMA or Champloo, but IT'S EUREKA SEVEN. And for what? Korgoth of Barbaria? I can see that it's done by Aaron Springer and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky who I loved back when Dexter was airing, but to bump a NEW EPISODE for this makes me scratch my head and wonder if there are really morons working at Williams Street.
- Eureka seveN Ep. 7 - Absolute Defeat: Speaking of Eureka seveN, episode 7 aired this week. And let the hazing continue. First it was the children, now they send him down to run an "errend" which we all find out pretty quickly that it's all a big scam. But even though that happens, Renton had the balls to actually complete the mission, which shows his determination. Overall, a nice episode, but some people are getting impacient that their mecha fights aren't there yet. Don't worry, there will be some on the horizon.
- Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig Ep. 26 - ENDLESS GIG: Finally, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex reaches the the end of the road. Everyone that saw it is probably happy when Gota died via head explosion, and then everything ended. What a great way to end the series. Now we wait for the Stand Alone Complex movie coming out sometime soon.

- Eureka seveN Ep. 8 - Glorious Brilliance: Finally, we get to see some major action in a series that's been off to a slow start, but is now picking it up. The only real thing I have to complain on is Eureka's parenting. OK, she's a bit too young to be caring for 3 children, but KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR DA*MN KIDS!!! Then she goes off and slaps them? Does Eureka know how to really be a parent, or we gonna have to stick her on Dr. Phil for some education? You tell me!!! Overall, a great episode, and let's hope the the action keeps up.
- The confirmation of E7 going to 1:30AM: We all thought it would happen this week. I guess not; it's happening NEXT WEEK. In a move that makes me scratch my head, they're putting premieres of E7 at 1:30AM. Why, oh why? Do you think it'll get "better" ratings? Here's a suggestion: PUT INUYASHA PREMIERES. That'll solve the majority of your ratings, plus we can all see what happens at the end - that is, if we don't already know what happens. And maybe if you stop listening to that Nelson box, and listen to your fans, maybe you can get a gauge of your "ratings."
- Korgoth: WHAT THE HELL WAS I WATCHING? I stopped watching it after 5 minutes on the fix and didn't mind to not watch it when it aired last night or tonight. I don't care who did it - it could be Walt Disney for all I care and I still won't watch it. It's very uninteresting, and I hope it goes down the gutter.

Usually my column comes up at the end of the week (Sun or Mon) but due to the current buzz concerning the boards, I have to break in and chime in my own opinion on all of this.
First off, if you've been living under a rock, Williams Street has decided to change the layout and look of the Message Boards. Changes include: removal of ranks, user privilages, and so fouth. But the biggest change is the realignment of the folders. Gone are Action Discussion, Comedy Discussion, Babbling, Rants, IB, and all the other folder into new ones like Anime, Comedy, General, and so fourth. Now, from what I've heard, AD and OA will merge into Anime, Comedy will probably stay the same because it's really just one folder. However, an issue comes up in General. They want to combine Babbling, IB, and Rants into the new General folder. Wait...I thought there was a MAJOR difference between those three folders, and now they want to put them together? Talk about setting the gas and handing the matches to us.
Now, for the burn. Look, it sounds like a good idea on paper, but the problem is that ever since the boards opened, traditions have been set (see AD and IB for examples) and now they want to destroy what we've established? You can't destroy traditions, and if this goes though, you're gonna have alot of angry customers who will rag on you over and over and over, including me. I don't mind the removal of ranks, but letting mods decide who gets what...I bet you when that happens everyone would want to become a mod so that they can hook up their friends with the highest rank on the boards. Of course, that would make the boards much worst, causing major chaos. And with major changes in the [as] lineup, it makes me wonder what the hell the folks down at Williams Street are thinking when they made this idea up.
My point is, just leave things alone. If you wanted to fix problems on the boards, redoing the boards is not the answer. And if this goes through, we really won't know what will happen...maybe we'll all forget about it and go on, growing customed to the new boards. Some will yell to the point of IP bans. But all of us will grow angry at the people who are doing this. And any other moves, either lineup wise or website wise, will be subject to the microscope by the people who watch this block.
So, if you want to lobby to keep the current layout of the boards, please click here and sign the petition.

- Eureka seveN Ep. 9 - Paper Moon Shine: Oh my, oh my...what an episode we had this week! I don't know where to start...but I'll start with the bomshell of the episode - how Eureka was before joining the GS. Yeah, she was part of the military, but I didn't freakin' realize she was a cold-blooded killer...kinda of like those Gunslinger Girls, but with mecha and 100% more slaughter. By the way, there's no excuse for that, even though she told herself she didn't know what the f*ck she was doing and that she listened to just Holland and that ship of hers...Nirvash...yeah...you keep telling yourself that. And then when I realized that she got those three children from a pile of dead bodies, I bet you Eureka was like "OMG, I have to take care of these kids because I killed everyone" which we all know was true. There's also the fact that Renton's been lied to this whole entire time...wait, let me rephrase that...Renton has been told half the truth...now I don't know if that's because he's still a kid or that they don't want to tell him that he's being used so that they can survive another day, but at some point or another he's gonna figure it out...oh wait HE ALREADY HAS. And hey Holland, try to explain why you smacked Renton for no good reason, then you play the silent game because you think you're better than him. I wasn't suprised that Renton didn't try to go for his board and smack YOU across the head.
- Since I really don't have nothing else to burn out, let me give a shout-out to all the high school/college students who've graduated, me included. We're all pass one part of our lives, and moving on to another. Congrats Class of 2006!!!
6/18
- Eureka seveN Ep. 10 - Higher Than The Sun: Again, in a anime that thrives on character development, this was a fantistic episode. Lots of backstory drama, more attempts by Renton to score on Eureka, and of course the debut of Anemone, a girl that looks like she was sniffing cocaine under those sheets. No wonder she punched Dewey when he interrupted her cocaine sniffing time. Now, many questions still remain: what is the purpose of Anemone? Why and how did Holland and Talho leave the military? How does Eureka fit into all this? How does RENTON fit into all this? There are a ton of questions to be answered, and we'll get them starting with next week's episode, which looks like it'll be a blast. And oh, Renton, keep trying buddy. It may seem you can't get nowhere with your emotions, but you're still young. You'll find the courage to tell her that you love her...then we'll see where we go from there.
- [as] Board changes: I don't know how far we are from seeing the boards change, but after some thought process, I've decided that I'm still going to fight to keep the boards they way they are, but at the same time accept the board changes when they occur. At least I won't have to jump between OA, AD, Babbling, and Rants. I can just jump from Anime to Noise just like that. Let's just hope that the rest of you can accept, or we might see a major backlash. Sure, there have been "splinter" sites created, and yes I've joined one of them, but at least I have a exit plan just in case sh*it does hit the fan on these message boards, and I can just jump to there.
- The Rest of the [as] lineup: Is it me, or I am the only one who just watches Eureka seveN and then turns off the TV? After all, the rest of the lineup is all reruns, and I don't care if it's the last episode of Fullmetal, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo, and Bebop all on the same night - they're all still reruns. I remember when Fullmetal was new and Ghost in the Shell was new, now all we got going is Eureka seveN. Maybe I'll start watching something else rather than Eureka seveN on Saturdays if they put new episodes of InuYasha on in Saturdays. I don't know what's the hold up - maybe Rumiko Takahashi doesn't want it to end so that she can put out more volumes of the InuYasha manga so that she can make more money than she can count. Seriously though, end InuYasha now so that the RIFs can go away.
6/26
- Eureka seveN Ep. 11 - Into the Nature: For the people who wanted their action, this was the episode. For the people who wanted the overall story move along, this was the episode. From the inital reaction, this was the episode everyone was waiting for, even if they've already seen it on the fansub network. Some were waiting to see how the dub would fit out - especially Anemone in her first full episode where she goes Gnarls Barkley "Crazy." Come on, don't tell me her lines involving the words "fry" and "brains" didn't spook you a bit. In fact, if I were in that cockpit when she fired off her "death ray" I'd be screaming my head off. Speaking about Anemone, how about the type theEND? You know what, tell her that I'll be sending $100 million for the down payment then another $19.9 billion within the month, because I want to buy that sucker. I'll even throw in another $10 million to buy that suit of hers, although it wouldn't fit me. But seriously, I want that. That LFO is the sickest thing I've seen so far, and what it does just wants me to buy it off of them. Let Anemone know that I want to buy it, NOW.
- Eureka seveN Ep. 12: Now, it's rare for me to go on a episode that hasn't aired yet, but since I've seen the preview for Ep. 12, I have to chime in. WHAT THE FU*CK IS GOING ON? No wonder tell people tell me that "I have to watch it more than once so that I can understand." Yeah, trying to figure out how the world Anemone eats up Renton and all that fun stuff. I can't wait to watch this about 4 times on the Fix, then twice on Saturday.
- Board Changes: I know that we've put the board change issue aside, as I have realized that whatever happens on the boards I will accept with an open heart. Because after all, change is always a good thing because nothing's perfect in this world.

- Eureka Seven Ep. 12 - Acperience 1: My, oh my...if you've seen this episode and you think Eureka Seven is still stupid/still for kids, stop reading this right now, find the nearest plastic/foam baseball bat, and hit yourself until your heads hurts because you deserve it - you're a freakin' idiot. Now, for the ones who are on board and are totally hooked (like I am), this was a good episode, and it had a bit of everything: ship battles (although some would argue that those tatics were horrible), some dream sequences (and the Eva references that come out of that), and more character development (like Gidget under the gun and somewhat cracking under pressure *does X with arms* and Renton's continuation of what seems to be one big journey for him). And like I've said, the series is beautiful when changing gears - and it really shined in this episode. One scene has Holland barking out commands to fire when all of the sudden they fire, then it immediately transfers back to the Renton/Eureka/Anemone dream sequence all without missing a beat. I hope we get to see more of the series' ability to change gears like Chris Moneymaker.
- Evangelion 10th Anniv. Box Set: Now, I've just recently purchased the Evangelion Platinum Complete Box Set, and I must say that it sounds and looks better than ever. However, I have seen threads about the Evangelion 10th Anniversary Box Set - after all, Evangelion aired in 1996, and now it's 2006. I've also seen the price for this "Anniversary Box Set" - a whopping $250. Now, what makes me want to buy this box set when I already own the Platinum Complete Box Set, and others who own that and also own the original Perfect Collection Box Set (which still goes about $169)? Besides some artwork, a special limited edition cover, a limited edition version of some manga I can buy for $9.99 at Borders, and other "goodies?" Unless it has the ability to view Evangelion in HD (I really don't know if I can do that with the Platinum Complete Box Set) and it has tons of extras, my $250 will go somewhere else...like the Wii. Wheeeeee!!!
- Board Changes: Seriously, when are the board changes going to happen? That's all I have to ask.
7/9
- Eureka seveN Ep. 13 - The Beginning: As the title suggests, this is the beginning...of the many encouters between Dominic and Renton, because I got a feeling we're gonna see them meet just a few more times before the end of the series. But going back to this episode, Renton seriously looked a lot smarter in this episode - and Dominic looked an idiot fresh out of boot camp who can't read a map. Dude, have you ever heard of a compas? Yeah, it's that thing that tells you WHERE NORTH IS. Not something about a "fork in your hand" crap. And again, the series shows its ability to change gears effectively, going from a somwhat somber tone to another battle between the military and the GekkoState (Yes, it's spelled together) and then what ever happened after that...it takes too long to describe on here, but if you saw the episode you know what I mean. Overall, the ball keeps rolling...and it's gaining momentum.
- Eureka seveN Ep. 14 - This marks the first recap episode according to the subbies that have seen this episode. I really don't mind that, since I have a few questions/things that need clarity that I hope this episode will answer/clarity. But what I'm wondering is if [as] will air "Shounen Heart" and "Fly Away," the next set of OP and ED songs for the series. Now, I would like to see this change because I don't want to see a repeat of FMA when they played one OP and ED through 3/4 of the series. But at the same time, I don't want to see the two butchered because we all know what [as] cares more about their advertising time that they can't take 2 minutes out of that time to air the full OP and ED. Sure, you're missing on 4 30-second ads, but at least you won't get any complaints about the cut job [as] did.
- Board Changes - Come on, if you want to make the board changes, do them already!!!
7/24
- Eureka seveN Ep. 14 - Memory Band: Since it was a recap episode, I really didn't want to make a review. But since there was a ton of new information, at least I can write this. It was nice to hear Stoner's philosophy (although I kept rewinding it via DVR to hear what really said), and more Dominic goodness (because he's not showing up for the next few episodes). Either than that, I can't say anything much.
- Eureka seveN Ep. 15 - Human Behavior: There we go, back to the plotline itself. And I really like this episode. Again, like I've said over and over week after week after week, the series loves to change gears, and change gears effectively. How the mood of the whole episode kept changing like the momentum of a close college football game - especially Renton. He was scared when they got caught, then in a matter of minutes he's all fired up kicking arse left and right. If anything, WE should feel bad about Eureka (not bashing her) because she's going through such a change in a short matter of time...its like a defense mechanism that just clicked for the first time and its like "I'm mad at you, stay away from me!" when she's trying to deal with it and adjust. Don't worry hon, you'll get used to a different Renton and a different Nirvash.
- Full 2nd E7 Ending?: I'm really shocked that [as] decided to air the full ending to "Fly Away." Yay for [as] for defying their checkbook to please the fans. Maybe they'll do this more in the future with *gasp* both the OP and the ED!
7/30
- Eureka seveN Ep. 16 "Opposite View" - Again, another one of those mind trip episodes (aka people thinking Eva references again) that make you go "Huh? What? What just happend? What did he/she say? Howcome I don't have TiVo so that I can watch that again?" If you did record it, you'll probably be watching this episode at a few more times to understand what happened. From what I could tell, Renton, Eureka, and Anemone were smoking again, having those weird dreams where somehow all three are in it. But instead of a shark and a toliet, it was people in a house. and a battle between the "Renton-vash" and the "Anemone-vash." Maybe that pizza was laced with acid or something...but anyways it was one of those episodes that does something else and it looks cool.
- Eureka seveN 2nd ED - Wow...looks like [as] didn't do a one week teaser - they played the full ending to "Fly Away" at the end of Ep. 16. Maybe this is the start of something new (like what I said last week). I know what you're thinking - they're making us think that they really care about the fans, and then next week they'll play the short version. But I got a feeling that they'll stick with the full ending - at least until we change OP and ED again. Then maybe we might see both full versions. Ya knew know.
- The Cilliad - Since I got nothing else to talk about, I might as well give props to Inufan213 and her fanfic...errrr I mean epic, The Cilliad. Even though its been through three threads, two locks, one deletion, a chapter deletion, and tons of spam, its still one of the best fanfics - I mean epics - the [as] boards has even seen. Bravo Inufan, bravo. You deserve this praise, and a really really good ending to Cille's adventures towards the Kingdom of Heaven. Of course, I wouldn't be suprised if Cille tripped at the top and fell back to earth. Now that would be hilarious.

- Last night's BK "Have It Your Way" Contest Winner's Lineup - Whoever picked this person to win should get a raise. Unlike the first time when they cluttered Saturday night with Sunday night comedy, this time around Action Saturdays stayed Action Saturdays. The obvious highlight of this night was the 3 hour FLCL marathon...with yes all 6 episodes. It was nice to see FLCL again...but odds are we will never see FLCL for a very long long time...either than that the other highlight was Cowboy Bebop and the last two episodes (The Real Folk Blues Pt. 1 & Pt. 2). Again, it was nice to see the ending again in all its glory (don't get ne started on the last 15 minutes of Pt. 2) and yes I did shed a tear. It's really that sad to see him die. I didn't see FMA, PA, or Shamploo although I did catch part of Trigun.
- Next Week's Schedule - As we all know, next Saturday the 3rd Inuyasha movie will air. Now, my question is: is it any good? I don't want to be watching a snorefest. I want to see action and some Miroku lovin'...ok forget the last part. But seriously, I really do hope its true. And with Inuyasha's run coming to a close very very soon, everyone at [as] should try to catch the last few moments before the last episode rolls around.
- Eureka seveN - I would post a review for Ep. 17 but since it hasn't aired yet I will review once it has aired on TV. Same applies for Ep. 18 (which I do think will be aired on the Fix too as well). I predict that the week after the IY movie we will see back to back new episodes of Eureka seveN...or even 3 straight new episodes since Ep. 19 will be airing too as well. My other question is: when will E7 go on its break? When Bleach comes around? Well it that happens, at least Trinity Blood will be airing too...
8/8
Ahem...
I have something to speak out. As you all know, the new [as] schedule as come out. And as you all know, [as] fu*cked up the schedule. First off, why in the hell are you bumping down Eureka seveN to 1:00AM just because Crayon Shin-Chan premires at 11:30PM? Why are there TWO - count them, two, shows with reruns airing between two shows with new episodes? Does anyone really care about Fullmetal and Ghost in the Shell anymore? My point is, air Crayon Shin-Chan THEN Eureka seveN, not Crayon Shin-Chan, rerun, rerun, Eureka seveN. And they wonder why someone people say they only watch E7 on the Fix. Second, I've noticed that when Bleach and Trinity Blood come onto the air in September, Trinity Blood will air BEFORE Bleach. Why, oh why [as]? Are you really that stupid? You've been putting all this time in effort to pick up Bleach and promote it (oh wait, let me get on that later) and you want to air it after a show that you just picked up in the dumps? You gotta be kidding me! Someone please, get me Williams Street on the line. I must slap some sense into them. And finally, Action advertising - the lack of it. You know, speaking of Action advertising, I haven't seen a promo for the 3rd IY movie yet...yet I've seen tons of promos for the Venture Brothers and that Metal-whatever-it's-called. Is there a problem with Action promos? Did it become illegal in the State of Dumba$$ to make Action promos? And they wonder why no one really watches...
In closing...seriously, someone get me [as] on the telephone. I want to bit*chslap every single employee over and over again to the point where they want to start caring about the Action block and not this "It's all about the comedy, let's screw our anime fans in the process" mentality. If they keep this up, who knows what will happen...maybe like a riot at Williams Street.
8/20
- Eureka seveN Ep. 17 - Sky Rock Gate: Or Sky Lock Gate, according to my Dish Network TV guide. But that really doesn't matter. The point is, it was another character development-driven episode, and these episodes are always good. In fact, these next few episodes will prove vital to key characters in the series. Eureka is slowly learning "human emotion," because that's what she's experiencing. And since she has no clue on how to react to certain ideals (happiness, jealously, etc.) all she does is sit back and say nothing. Also, I know that you "talk" to the Nirvash and it talks back, but the Nirvash is not telling you that Renton is a better pilot. You are telling yourself that Renton is a better pilot than you and that you should just let him pilot it. It's all in the mind lady, and apparently you're not getting it.
- Eureka seveN Ep. 18 - Ill Communcation Pt. 1: This is not an actual review of the episode since it hasn't aired on TV, but I shall talk about it anyways. If you didn't see it on the Fix, then stop reading this and go back to Babbling. Now, for the people who did, you all saw that Renton got another whooping from Holland for taking the Nirvash on his own. Now, I'm not sure that Holland knows that Renton got LFO-jacked by the miner who thought "Hey, I don't need to dig up anymore ancient LFOs, I'll just hijack one." who had a Colt Revolver. You know Holland, Renton actually did the right thing and did what the miner told him to do. Kind of like what you do in a robbery - don't fight back, and listen to all the commands by the robbers. It may have saved his life. Also, next time when something happens, sit down and SHUT THE FU*CK UP!!! Before you go and kick his a*ss, maybe you should listen to his side of the story instead of assuming sh*it that you don't know. And Talho is right: you do take all your fustrations out on Renton. Maybe Talho should take her fustrations out on you Mr. Holland. I'd like to see Eureka take her fustrations out on Holland...
- Bleach promos: Or the lack of, again. With 3 weeks left to go until Sept. 9th, [as] has not aired one promo for Bleach and/or Trinity Blood either than the bump that annouced that Bleach was picked up. Then again, I've always have a theory that we, the viewers of [adult swim], already "know" that Bleach/Trinity Blood will air on this date at this time, and that we'll all just show up and watch. Well what about the rest of the people who don't know? Maybe they don't get the internet or something's happen to their computer and cannot get internet access. You need to air promos seriously, and right now. You spent a ton of money on Bleach, now put that money into good use. And if you don't get the ratings you so desire, don't blame the anime/action block fans who didn't show up Sept. 9th. Blame yourselves for being such fu*cking idiots.
8/27
- Eureka seveN Ep. 18 - Ill Commincation (Full Review): If the title says anything, there's a whole lot of "ill" commincation between some of the major players, especially Eureka/Renton, Renton/Holland, and Holland/Talho. And so far, sh*it's been going down the drain. For starters, Eureka is turning emo on us, slowly withdrawing herself from the world just because she can't pilot the Nirvash and Renton has a wonderful time piloting it alone. Second, what's up with Holland? He is really running away again? You should of realized that Renton was held up by some old hag who thought stealing the world's oldest LFO would do something to his life. But no, he has to go beat up on Renton again. Then Talho gets into the mix, and mad props for doing what's right - slapping some fu*cking sense into Holland. And finally, that last scene. Again, Eureka tries to reason with Renton, but for some odd reason she picks the wrong time do it. Renton doesn't want to hear anything right now, he just wants to rest. To Eureka, she thinks he's still shutting her out, and in return making things worse. *kick*
- Next Week's E7: Wow, oh wow, it's all a chain reaction. First Eureka doesn't feel well when they get to the cave, then they have another acid trip, then Renton starts kicking arse alone on the Nirvash. I know it's all out of order, but you get the idea. Next week, more sh*it hits the fan when Eureka turns into bubble gum...but seriously we're all eager to find out how in the fu*cking hell she got to that point. Like Mike Tyson's carrer, her life in a freefall.
- The Fan Review - I really like the idea of putting fan reviews of things related to [as] in a seperate folder. Like I've said, it's good that they grouped it all there instead of it scattered across all the other folders. Leave it the way it is though, no "fan review discussion board." That's calling for a major flame war and people who will stay stupid sh*it for no reason. If you don't know what I mean, just visit YTMND.
