It is now 70 years past teh rebuilding of Honshu, where most of the land is urban, leaving very little forestation left. Takashi Fujishima is a 19-year old living in this future, whose ordinary life is changed when his arm is shot off by stray bullets from a nearby gunfight. Takashi, on the verge of death, is saved by a young woman about his age named Motoko Kotegawa. Motoko saves Takashi's life by attaching a robotic arm to where his arm was shot off, and in return asks him to take out a group of men from a crime syndicate called SORE. |
