Talk:Header

From Ars Magica

We can now edit the header...

The new green colour scheme is merely for testing purposes. The lime green in the menu boxes/table of contents/etcetera is especially poor. :D If you have any thought about the colour scheme, then I would like to hear them. There is a good website in OOC Editing for choosing colour schemes - it has an interactive widget that employs colour theory and a colour wheel.

The picture at the top of this wiki is the standard mediawiki image, but altered in photoshop to fit this background colour. It is just a rough and ready placeholder for a custom image.

Naturally, any change in colour scheme will necessitate various tables, etcetera, having their colours tweaked to fit it, but this is actually a fairly quick job.

Now that we have access to the CSS for the wiki, we can actually do quite a lot. While I will be taking a gander through Meta Wiki, etcetera, for good ideas, if you know of anything groovy, then do please let me know, or try it out yourself.

I don't mind it if you change the header in any way, but if you somehow render the wiki unusable, I'd be pleased if you undid the changes before it inconveniences anyone. I've tried to label the sections of the CSS that I could readily identify for your convenience, as editing the whole file in one go is a bit of a scroll-a-thon.

If you spot any bugs, or problems, please post them on my user page as well as here.

Recent Changes

As the recent changes had become unusable, I've quickly slapped a set of colours on it that can at least be read. I'll work out which colours are which, and set them to something better later. --James\\Talk 13:39, 26 March 2006 (PST)
