In June 2367 (ES), the Ark Ship Arthur appeared in New Iowa space, engaged an destroyed the Russian Second Extrasolar Fleet and the UIS defence fleet, and commenced a full-scale invasion of the planet.

Hurried redeployment by all major powers of extrasolar forces saw a military stalemate between the Arthurians and the intersolar powers. Efforts to arrange a diplomatic solution foundered, and the crisis ended with the deployment of a weapon of terrible power which obliterated the Russian Third Extrasolar Fleet and UIS 2nd Griffin Battle Group in a single blast.[1] The UIS 1st Griffin Battle Group only survived by dint of being on the other side of the planet.

Last reports had the Arthur limping out of the system for an unknown destination.
