Kyp Durron is a pilot, a Jedi Master, and a man of quick thinking and instinctive action. Though his brashness has been abated some by wisdom gained from combat and life lessons, he is still quite the quick mover, and quite the one to jump into the middle of things when others are still thinking. This makes him both an excellent ally, and a danger at times, for he does make mistakes.

Thankfully, his pride allows him to admit such, and he willingly changes his mind and throws his actions behind the new direction, if proven wrong.

He was taught in the Jedi Ways by Luke Skywalker, and has had some encounters with the Dark Side of the Forcer, most notably being possessed by the power of Exar Kun temporarily.

He has been described as a warrior, a weapon of the force.
