From Worldinherhands

History

Not much is publicized about Goldilock's past to those outside of Everafter (read: her canon in pretty much moot and not mentioned in depth in the comic). She is one of the few patients in Everafter that actually seems to be the most normal and nearly sane of the bunch; her treatments are nearly complete and she has been a well behaved young girl during her stay at Everafter.

"There's... There's nothing there. Nothing
I don't... I've been...

However, despite this, Goldilocks is classified as a S-Class Charge - which basically means that her ailment is more advanced and they are given a bit more unique comforts as a result. Dr. Crooked, according to one of the Three Little Pigs, came up with the idea. Thus is the reason why Goldilock's uniform is different from those of most of the other patients. She also seems to be unaware (or just completely ignorant/does not even recall having) of the scars that are on her face. One goes across the curve of her left eye, going from top of her eyebrow down a few inches beneath the eye. The other scar is a bit to the right of her chin.

Whenever her scars are mentioned she seems to grow confused and denies having such things on her face. She even seems to fall into an odd, out-of-character mood that causes the oddest thing to appear behind herself (it seems to look like a weird, cracked out, grinning bear). She will vehemently deny having anything of the sort on her face. It's easy to snap her out of the mood. Just speak with her, ask her if she's okay, do anything to draw her from thinking about the scars or the cause of them and Goldilocks will perk right back up into that usual attitude of hers.

The amount of time she has been in Everafter, however, is unknown. She seems to have arrived at Everafter after a rather traumatic experience, thus the reasons why she seems to deny the scars on her face. If anything it has something to do with her nursery rhyme and the three bears (perhaps a mauling?).

Whatever the case...at least she seems to be improving greatly and is allowed to stay in bigger rooms, with other children. She also writes to her father, comparing Everafter to that of Gold Brick (her home).

"Heaven forbid there be a day this boy
doesn't make you late for your appointment." (Edda)

Also, she has a close friendship with Pinnochio, a janitor of Everafter. He always seems to stop her in the halls while she's on the way to an appointment to spark up a chat with her and Goldilocks is always happy to oblige him. After all...he's a sweet boy. And on the day of her big evaluation, he gave her his wishing star - something that he has had forever and something that he thinks that just might be lucky. Well. If she wants it to be.

"Ah! I love it!

And I will not lie, I feel at least twice as lucky

as I did a moment before, if not more."
