You grow tired of this game and stop fighting. You hear your mother coming back into the nursery. She has a fresh-killed mouse in her jaws, and she sets it down on the ground for you and your siblings to share. Outside of the den, you can see many different warriors of all sizes and pelt colors. One day, you hope to become the best warrior of them all.
Birdsong's voice interrupts your thoughts. "Aren't you going to eat something, Redkit?"
