You take a few steps back, setting your landing spot on a tiny piece of ground nearest to your side of the shore. A heartbeat later, you run forward and jump off the bank. Though you land a little short, you still manage to claw your way onto the tiny island. You sit there breathing heavily for a moment, then get to your paws. You cannot rest now. You repeat the same process twice more, until you are on the other side of the bank. You're wet, but at least you're still safe. You pause for a moment, then hurtle forward when you realize that the ground before you is open! You race happily across the grass, thinking that this place, though flat, is your home. So distracted by your illusion of home, you don't even see the grass and water in front of you. You plunge into the muck and yelp in surprise. You look around you as your fur is soaked by the water. From what the elders have told you, you recognize this place to be right near the island!
