Alexis Ashton

Alexis Danielle Ashton was born 18 May 1986, in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, to upper-middle class parents. Her father is a tenured professor at Oxford, and her mother is a neurosurgeon in the area's top hospital. Consequently, Alexis grew up with a love of learning; she was always at the top or near the top of her class in school. When she wasn't at the very top, it just made her strive to be the very best.

She has also always been a very active girl, interested in rugby, football (soccer), gymnastics, and rowing. Amazingly enough for one with the Slayer gene, she never got into fights in school--her violent nature was well-channelled enough to keep her temper under control. It also helped that she knows tai chi, and meditates twice daily.

When she was about to turn 17, something crazy happened--she became a Slayer. The New Watcher Council approached her and pretty much told her she had to attend Slayer school. It was after school, luckily, and she had quit gymnastics by this point, so she begrudgingly agreed to do so. While there, once again, she was a stellar student, but she had an intense rivalry with another girl there: Jaquelyn Sanchez. It's nothing that Alexis couldn't handle, but it was enough to be annoying. She was just trying to do her job, pass her classes, and get through the shoddy excuse for a school the NWC had set up; Jacquelyn just kept getting in her way.

As soon as she graduated college, she told her parents she was going to study abroad in Seattle for a year, using a fully-paid scholarship to the University of Washington to double-major in history and physical therapy. Her parents approved, and with their blessing, she slipped away from England and went to live a lie.
