Red Star

The red color star in the Andromeda Galaxy is characterized by a distinct, dark yellow photosphere and a large, reddish corona. The red star is rather common in the galaxy, though not as common as the yellow star.

Red stars have a high occurrence of inhabited systems. They also tend to be very rocky, showing the highest incidence of asteroids of all the different types of stars. About one in five systems have a red star.
