Industrial Machinery, as a trade good in The Universal, is assumed to refer to mechanical components and full machines designed in an industrial system. Such machines and components could possibly include: engines, presses, cranks, automatic saws, milling components, factory machines, lathes, and a host of other mechanical devices.
On the whole, Industrial Machinery can be purchased normally in the price range of 44.0 to 50.0 credits per ton. Only a few core systems purchase Industrial Machinery from traders, and the outlying star systems will purchase the cargo for around 60.0 credits per ton, or more. The profit margin for machinery is low, however, and rarely is traded outside the core systems.
