• Peter hides from Aunt May to keep her from seeing his costume and his injuries.
• The next day in school, Kraven visits Midtown High for preemptive taping for his show. He is being interviewed by a Ms. Brant who is questioning his responsibility to hunt Spider-Man, asking him if he believes his should leave this to the police. During this media event, Gwen Stacy makes fun of Kraven to his face while he searches for clues of Spider-Man from his appearance at the school while fighting the Goblin.
• MJ makes a new Spider-Man costume for Peter. She then asks him if he like Gwen Stacy. Peter replies “she’s all right. Kind of screwy, don’t you think?”. Mary Jane gets upset and leaves Peter’s house after this response.
• Justin Hammer finds himself hounded by the press as they inquire about his connections to Otto Octavius and Spider-Man. He returns to his office to find Spider-Man waiting for him. Spider-Man disables Hammer’s aids and bodyguards and then asks Hammer why he trashed Spider-Man on the air when he was only trying to help. Hammer indicates that he did it to focus attention away from himself and the fact that Octavius is trying to kill him. He then offers Spider-Man money to take Octavius down, Spider-Man rejects this offer and leaves disgusted with Hammer.
• Justin Hammer receives a call from Dr. Skrtic, he answers the call only to see Skrtic killed before his eyes on the teleconference screen by Dr. Octopus. Octavius then blames Hammer for his accident and challenges Hammer to meet him at the Hammer genetics labs.
• Justin Hammer takes his limo to New Jersey where his genetics labs and illegal experiments are located. Unbeknownst to him, Spider-Man hitches a ride on top of the limo.
• Kraven the Hunter receives word that Spider-Man has been sighted on top of a limousine driving down the Jersey turnpike. At the time he is accompanied by Ms. Brant, the television reporter who was interviewing him at Midtown High School earlier. Kraven knocks her out and leaves to hunt.
• Justin Hammer arrives at Hammer Industries. He is met at the gate by Dr. Octopus who is gathered with a large group of reporters for an impromptu press conference where he introduces Justin Hammer as “the man who turned my life into the horror you see before you.”
Notes:
- Gwen notes Peter’s injuries and wants to know if the bullies at school had anything to do with them.
- Ms. Brant notes to Kraven that the Goblin fight at Midtown was weeks ago. In Ultimate Spider-Man 14, it was mentioned to Otto Octavius that it had been three months since the explosion at Osborn Industries that caused the creation of the Goblin. The fight at Midtown between Spider-Man and the Goblin took place hardly a week after this explosion.
- Kraven refers to his girlfriend as “Tabidi”.
