15.30-16.05 'The Monkey's Paw'
A play by W. W. Jacobs and Louis N. Parker. Production by Moultrie R. Kelsall. Many people do not believe the scalp can literally tingle until they read W. W. Jacobs's short story, The Monkey's Paw. Even Edgar Allan Poe and Henry James at their best did not produce so thrilling a climax. This dramatisation, which, if anything, adds to the horror of the printed word, was first televised in January, 1938
