Voting Begins
It's time for the tribe to decide!
The very first tribal voting is now underway on the Tribe HQ website. Tribewanted has been created with the emphasis of tribe members deciding how 'Adventure Island' develops, looking at all aspects of Island life from accommodation to power, from Island Activities to the 12 Chiefs. The very first voting that is currently taking place in the online voting booth is what we should call the island and the tribe members.
Suggestions for the island include:
- Adventure Island
- Vorovoro (it's original name)
- Koronivugayalo (village of many souls)
- Vinaka Vei Tau (good friends)
Suggestions for the name of the tribe include:
- Vorovoro Tribe
- Emerald Nomads
- Pangeans
- Eco-Tribe
Tribe members head to the community voting booth and make your decision. Voting closes 5pm BST on Monday. We will keep you updated with the first tribal decision next week!

The time has come to find the first of a band of leaders that will support the tribewanted team and local community on the island over the course of the year and make the project a success! So have you got what it takes to become a tribal Chief?
September 2006 Chief Elections Taking place between the 7th and 12th of July 2006.
Applicants must submit answers to the questions below along with a 60 second video ('chiefcast') about why they should be elected Chief.
Please email both your answers to the questions and your chief cast‚ to [deleted] Applications close midnight on Sunday 9th July. Voting will take place on Monday and Tuesday and the chief will be elected on Wednesday 12th July.
Applicants must answer the following questions:
- Why would you like to be Chief?
- What relevant skills would you bring to this role?
- What, other than your skills, makes YOU the right person for this role?
- What would you like to achieve as Chief?
- As Chief you will be given a small pot of money with which to leave your legacy. How will you spend it?
- Tell us something interesting about yourself.
- In one sentence, why should the tribe elect you Chief?
October and November nominations will take place immediately after the election of the September Chief.
Bengazi says: 'Good Morning America!'
Good Morning America!
ABC's hit breakfast show, Good Morning America, have today confirmed that they will be featuring tribewanted in not just one, but three of their shows over the next three months. Starting next weekend, Bengazi will be interviewed on the show with tribe members from the US who are able to make it to NYC. The in August they will have an up-date on preparations in Fiji plus an on-air meeting between tribe members and some very special guests. Good Morning America's final report will be from the island itself during the first month of the project. Woo-hoo!

Online tribal poker tournament this saturday
On Saturday the 8th of July at 19.00 GMT the first Tribewanted online Poker Tournament will be held in aid of the Dream Foundation....
It will be a No-limit Texas hold-em $10+$1 re-buy event , which means, if your chip level is below the starting chip level at the start, you can re-buy as many times as you wish for the first hour for the sum of $10 + no fee.
