A coup in Fiji? Are you sure?

The good life on Vorovoro continues...

Chief Riah's report

Whilst the boys continue working hard on the jetty, the focus is now on the smaller projects, and tying up the loose ends. The compost toilets have had a face lift, with the 'cornish rendering' being done to the exterior, and are now a bit more aesthetically pleasing. All cubicles should be fully functioning by the end of next week. The Great Bure has had a fabric padding added in certain areas to encourage members to sit and read and relax in the way that they so often do!

A beautiful book shelf has also been added to the Great Bure, and our somewhat 'broad genre' of tastes now sit proudly on the shelves!

Litter duty is in progress from the tribewanted team, and members and locals are encouraged to join in, so the island can continue to remain beautiful, and we're all looking forward to when the jetty is completed so we can start to use it! the boys are doing a grand job! we are all really looking forward to christmas - the mix of cultures will really make for a good few days of celebrations!

Murray's update

The past week has seen us working hard on the jetty, alternating between building the supportive structure, and the pathway depending on the tide. The labour is pretty intense, but equally rewarding when you start to see it all taking shape. The small team of Fijian guys are working really hard, so progress can sometimes be swift and we are all so grateful for there help - especially in the way they can lift rocks twice the size that we can!!

From Kimbo

It is really good that myself and murray are part of the tribewanted team and we can start to get stuck into the daily tasks of keeping vorovoro a safe and clean place for all the visiting tribe members, and playing a part in making there V2 experience the best it can be - and we cant wait to meet as many of you as possible over the next few months. I always wanted to meet new tribe members, and get to know them as much as possible, and have some great experiences - but to make my first tribewanted gapper chore to be scrubbing the toilets was not quite the experience i was after. Still loving it really though!
