Physical Description

Lia has very pale skin and large brown eyes that are always rimmed in thick black eyeliner. She usually wears bright red lipstick. Her straight brown hair is streaked with bright purple, and her bangs are swept aside. She has a thin figure that is always clad in something black. She has lime-green braces on her teeth. Usually Lia wears old black boots and refuses to wear any other shoes. She usually wears big spiky earrings, wristbands, or spiky chokers. She has very bad posture, but only to drive people crazy, and has a scar down her arm from a fight she had (and won) with a girlygirl bully, and isn't afraid to show it (she keeps it as a good memory). Her most common expression is sarcastic and isn't afraid to show her big attitude.

Brief History

Lia was born on December 19, 1990 to Laura and Derrick Browning, who are both muggles. Her father is a very well-respected priest and her mother is a nurse. Lia has three older brothers: Ty, now 18, Zach, now 19, and Cory, now 21. When Lia was growing up, there was no certain sign that she would be a witch in her future. Some strange things did happen when she was little and they mostly happened when she was angry at her brothers; however, her parents shrugged it off as just a strange trick of hers. Lia was always rebellious, even as a young child, and was never favored by her parents. Her parents often used her brothers as a good example to her, which made her angry.

Lia had no known ancestors or relatives that were magic, so she is the first out of her entire family. It was a huge surprise to her and her family when she received the first letter from Hogwarts; they believed it was a trick. After the next few kept coming, they started to believe that the school was not just a trick. Her mother did not show much of her opinion when they realized that Lia was a witch, but her father felt very strongly about the news, and decided to tell family, friends and neighbors that Lia was at 'a very fancy boarding school in America.'She hates putting on a charade, but there is not much she can do so that her parents will not disown her. She is reluctant to pretend she's someone she's not and it makes her angry how her parents are not proud for her, but she knew that she had to go to Hogwarts. She was happier about going to a magical school than staying in the Muggle school, as she didn't like anybody and it simply just annoyed her.

Personality

Even though she might appear grumpy and snappy, Lia is fairly friendly. She has a better way with animals than people - she's a hard-core vegetarian and feminist. Even though she can be rude and have an attitude, Lia is NOT evil - she is simply a bit cynnical and a rebel. She can be violent, but only if someone seriously provokes her. She has an extremely strong habit of chewing Drooble's Best Blowing Gum and has a large collection of the wrappers. When Lia was in normal school she landed in detention a lot and talked back to her teachers, unless they were nice to her. Lia's usual snaps and retorts are to defend herself or a friend.

Lia has a band called 'Crash Collision' and sings/plays bass in it. She's a large fan of the American band Green Day, as well as AFI and the Canadian band Hedley. She thinks it's extremely hilarious when people call her a hoodlum, a common name she was called throughout her teens and preteens. Lia can be good friends with guys but is not even remotely interested in having a love life. She's too dedicated with her music. She finds it extremely irritating when guys say they shouldn't beat up girls. Lia is well-known for her courageousness.

Lia is actually quite smart, but doesn't really care about her education. She hates phonies, plastics, vain people, and the majority of the fluffy, fake Hollywood blondes. She is a very unathletic person and hates sports. Lia has a soft side; she's very neat, especially loves cats, and cares about friends and family. She likes adventure but isn't really a daredevil when it comes to physical stunts.

Strengths

Her strengths are Defense Against the Dark Arts (because she's good at defending herself) and anything musically related. She is fiercely loyal to those who are her friends, which is hard to believe but true. Lia's strength for music is because she finds it easier to express herself through songs than to talk to a person about her feelings. She usually listens to music or plays it when she is feeling angry or upset, and music is the answer to the majority of her problems.

Weaknesses

Her weakness is definitely if one of her family or friends were in danger. If they were in harm, she would do whatever she could to help them, even if she acted ignorant and disrespectful to her parents sometimes. She just hates when people try to control her. She doesn't interact with people very much, yet she still cares for most people very much (she just doesn't like to show it, because she thinks if she does she'll look 'mushy.') Another weakness she has is sports. She is absolutely horrible at most of them,and hates every sport except gymnastics and badmenton. She isn't a very competitive person, and thinks it's really annoying when people are.

Hobbies and Interests

Lia's hobbies are playing the electric bass guitar, which she has played since she was 11, singing and practicing with her band (which she is very dedicated to), songwriting about her experiences or to let off steam, prank calling when she's extremely bored, protesting and volunteering for neglected, abused or mistreated animals, reading mystery books, watching very scary horror movies (she enjoys being creeped out) writing long stories, collecting gum wrappers from all the Droobles that she chews and all kinds of stuffed cats, cutting out a picture of her enemies's faces and putting them on a dartboard when they do something really annoying to her, and writing in her diary.
