Combat Expertise works with Aid Another

- This rule modifies Combat Expertise, Player's Handbook page(s) 92.
In addition to the Attack Action and Full Attack Action, Combat Expertise may be used with the Aid Another Action (Player's Handbook p154) when that Action is used to give an ally a bonus to his Attack Roll or Armor Class.
