Very neat idea! Reminds me of the premise put forth in Drive by Daniel Pink, where he exlpores the idea of Fed Ex Days that many forward-thinking companies have put in place (in one form or another). Basically, give staff time to do what they want and their creativity will take over, often coming up with work above and beyond what could be accomplished in more traditional work situations. Post-it notes were the result of this type of thinking (3M employees could use 15% of their work time for projects of their own interest). Neat to see some application of this concept in an educational context. Thanks for sharing Greg!
