There are a number of locations within Second Life that have been set up by or in collaboration with various theaputic and support groups.
- Brigadoon - an island and support group to help people with Aspergers Syndrome. .
- Healthinfo island - Part of the info islands - a collection of sites supporting health information.
- Remember Us - An exhibit set up as part of Altzheimer's Awareness Month (Jan 2007)
- Virtual Hallucinations - Experience Schizophrenia within SL. Built by UC Davis Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, this site frequently appears in Top 10's of SL. UC Davis describe it thus: "The goal of the virtual hallucinations project is to use computer virtual reality techniques to build a simulation of the [schizophrenic] hallucinatory experience."
