Simland:Administrators

Simland Administrators are users that have a few extra user rights. They have the ability to protect pages from editing, and unprotect them; delete pages, and restore them; block users, and unblock them; and edit protected pages, such as the MediaWiki interface and the Main Page. Administrators are the more active editors who would pass the general requirements below, but they do not outrank other editors in any way, and do not have a higher authority in disputes.

It is Simland's policy to grant adminiship to editors who have been actively editing for a few weeks, with about 500 mainspace edits. If an editor has been blocked, it is recommended that they wait until they have shown a clear change in their behaviour. This could be a few weeks or a few months depending on the block reason. Although adminship is merely a technical right, and not a big deal, misuse can damage the project's integrity. Editors can apply for admin rights by filing a request at Simland:Requests. Their edits will be reviewed by a bureaucrat, who will either accept or deny their request.
