News Mortal:

Investigations into the explosion of a cargo ship in Puget Sound a month ago are still pending, an Occupational Safety and Health Administration official said. It is believed that the explosion was caused by a break in a fuel line, although OSHA is still searching for other possibilities.
Malcolm Reynolds, the leader of the Seattle SWAT Unit, died Sunday Feburary 10th due to wounds taken during a major firefight in the International District on February 9th. He served with Seattle PD for fifteen years, five of those in the SWAT unit. Funerary services were held Friday February 22nd.
Scientists working on the ongoing project of documenting new species in the Amazon Basin are reporting the discovery of a species of phosphorescent dragonflies. The new species, currently being classified as aeshna noctiluca, glow in a manner similar to fireflies.
A twenty-five year old man (whose name is being withheld by request of his parents) is dead after trying to chase an errant pack of grey-furred wolves off of his family’s property in the northern neighborhood of Ballard. Although reports of the pack have been occurring over the past week, this incident is the first to result in human injury. Animal Control has asked Seattle residents to call them immediately at *insert number here* if they see the wolves.
