The allure of being accepted into collective becomes too much, too sweet of a nectar to fight. Your body relaxes and you give your mind fully to the pull of the hivemind. You are dimly aware of mechanical hands descending from the ceiling, they gently grasp your body and lift you onto a rolling slab. Your sight becomes dim and eventually fades away, the rushing information is replaces by the gently scrolling walls of text you saw earlier on the display. You slowly become aware that you are no longer in possession of your body, your senses have been replaced by the collective thoughts of the hivemind.
As your conscientiousness drifts among thousands of others, you are distantly aware that your former body is now being lowered into the vats you passed earlier. The hoses are hooked to your former face and another clamp is attached to your headular appendage. With an electric jolt you are suddenly back in your body. The joyous screams of a thousand suddenly less-appealing souls pierce your skull as you realize that your body is paralyzed and its beginning to burn all over. The pain mounts by the second and soon becomes nearly unbearable, the evil cackling of the collective ringing in your ears.
"Yes, feel the pain take over!
Jeering catcalls and unintelligible yelling fills your mind as your skin begins to peel off in large strips and melt away into the gentle current of the tank. Large hunks of muscle dissolve into clouds of blood and matter and follow your skin. You begin to black out, a thousand voices still taunting you.
"You are now OURS!!"
You let the last vestiges of consciousness slip away and feel as if you've betrayed yourself and given your soul away to those who would use it for evil. There is nothing you can do now.
