Dive under the rocks

You leap desperately towards the small dark hollow under some rocks. Unfortunately you also happen to leap directly at the two small furry creatures inside of the large shallow cave. You have no time think before you are flattened against the rock floor. The immense weight of the creature crushes your torso and you have just enough time to realize that they are probably younglings of the beast before a single large talon pierces the back of your skull and explodes from the front of your face.
