Winona is the main character in my story, which has no title currently.

Description

Winona is a relaxed person, she prefers to be calm, even in desperate situations. She is very smart and cunning. She has a carefree attitude about the world. Despite being a flying type gym leader, she is scared of heights. She knows a lot about medicinal plants and nature itself. She broke her left hand rock climbing four years ago, her hand was crushed and she doesn't have full mobility of it. Despite that - she lives life to the fullest. She can be a bit testy, especially when she's busy doing something else. She loves to do something to entertain her rather than be bored. She is good at taking care of people when they're sick. She knows a lot about Pokemon anatomy, being able to sex them, just by looking at them. She also knows a good deal about Pokemon behaviour, she can recognise if Pokemon has a certain disease, or if its a Pokemons' breeding season. Some odd reason, Totodiles seem to be attracted to her buttock, she's never know why. She hopes to learn how to fly a plane, she loves flying in them. She hates traveling by sea and usually gets seasick. She is semi-vegetarian, but despite that, she occasionally eats fish or shrimp. She respects Volkner and Roark, but Byron creeps her out a little bit. She barely knows anything about her parents, they left her when she was 3. Astronomy is one of her favourite sciences, she keeps a telescope and a sextant in her house; she can identify any constellation in the night sky. She loves old literature, such as Beowulf and Macbeth. She is free-willed and hates to be bossed around. She hates being touched, except for being hugged and patted on the back. Her sister, Maylene, tackles her to the ground; but she usually gets up and laughs - she later regrets it. She has two Pokemon that she keeps secret: Zapdos and Flygon. She has a special way of commanding Pokemon, when she says "ready for takeoff!" the Pokemon ascend; when descending, she taps them with her feet. Despite having long hair in the anime, she has fairly short hair in my story.

Alavda is a French name for "Lark".
Vogel is the German word of "Bird".
Her gym assistant calls her "Eagle" occasionally. It's a perfect name for her, she loves eagles.
